  Job Description

Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, the Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients as a member of a multidisciplinary team; is responsible and accountable for coordinating and administering direct patient care utilizing the nursing process; provides direction to staff and volunteers; and responds to emergency situations to safeguard patients, visitors and staff in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) Standards for Nursing Practice.


  Qualifications

A.Education, Training and Experience

Current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses Association of British Columbia (CRNBC).Graduate of a recognized School of Nursing and recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Basic Life Support, Level 'C'.

B.Skills and Abilities

  • Apply the nursing process effectively in a well-organized manner to the care of assigned patients.
  • Physically perform the duties of the position.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Remain calm and to act appropriately in stressful and emergency situations.
